There has never been a better time to insulate a property
There has never been a better time to insulate a property, it has been claimed.
According to the National Insulation Association (NIA), with the current rise in fuel costs and predictions that they may increase further, homeowners should consider taking such energy saving measures as insulating.
Neil Marshall, chief executive of the NIA, commented that "there has never been a better time" to install insulation He said: "With measures such as cavity solid wall, loft insulation or draught proofing, the result will be lower fuel bills and a warmer home."
Mr Marshall went on to say that home insulation is the most effective way of saving money on domestic energy bills, reducing them by some £275 every year.
The cost of gas has increased by 94 per cent and electricity bills by over 60 per cent in the last three years, according to Energy watch.
