Homes that are more energy efficient could be more saleable

Homes that are more energy efficient could be more saleable than homes without eco features, it has been claimed.
Taking measures such as installing insulation acquiring a condensing boiler and fitting double glazing could ensure that a house achieves a high rating on its energy performance certificate when considered by a domestic energy assessor
According to the Yorkshire Post, people may be willing to pay more for a house that demonstrates its energy efficiency - something which may be important to house buyers given the current fuel prices.
Alan Cooke, a Leeds estate agent, told the publication: "Everyone is looking to make savings at the moment and if they can see that a house will cost less to run than another it's a big selling point."
Incorporating heating controls and servicing a house's boiler, or even adopting micro generation facilities, could boost a property's appeal.
The Energy Saving Trust claims that boilers account
for around 60 per cent of a home's carbon output.
