What are Home Information Packs

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are a key part of this country’s strategy to reduce the 27 per cent of national carbon emissions that come from our homes.

The epc's produced are property specific using Reduced Data Standard Assessment Procedure (RDSAP).

The RDSAP expresses the energy efficiency of a dwelling as a number between 1 and 100 based on the annual heating, hot water and lighting costs per square metre of floor area under standard conditions.

The RDSAP is a non linear energy cost index - the higher the RDSAP rating the more efficient the home.
EPCs will contain - Energy rating (RDSAP)
- Carbon rating
- Running cost indicators
- Improvement suggestions
